History: The Breakers originally started life as the Bar'Dhum Bombadiers, who were renowned around the Old World for their eye opening half time shows and flagrant use of bombs explosions on the Gridiron. Their gutsy and eccentric head coach, Olaf Thunderboast, insisted on celebrating the spectacle of Blood Bowl in the most volitile way, and always made sure the team had a couple of dozen barrels of gunpowder to hand.

Unfortunately it's difficult to keep track of so much gunpowder, and during a game versus the Shadel Shadows nobody noticed a couple of missing barrels... that is until they were used to trigger a landslide at half time, above the Bombadiers dug-out! The entire team, a large number of the crowd and even some of the Shadows were crushed in the explosion. The only Bombadier to survive was Thunderboast (who had been busy setting fireworks for the display).

50 years of mourning have passed in Karak Bar'Dhum and they are finally ready to field a team again; the Bar'Dhum Breakers. The team is now coached by Brurfer Hammerlust, a retired and ill tempered Ironbreaker, with Thunderboast becoming a Slayer after the shame of losing his team. The Breakers play in all black in respect of their lost comrades, bar a stripe of yellow in memory of the Bombadiers gaudy kit. Gone are the gadgets and bombs of the past, and the Breakers are focussed on one thing and one thing only; breaking those with links to the Shadel Shadows. Fortunately for Blood Bowl fans the Breakers aren't too picky on who to exact vengeance on, so the Breakers will never be short of a grudge to enforce!
