Play Off Results: Music Or The Lizery vs London Warps

Phillipe Flabbybun: Hello and welcome one and all, apologies in advance if you can't hear-

Arnild Swoonzenorger: My diminutive fat brother of a different woman, what are you doing talking to the heathens through this arcane stalker ball, come and join Arnild in partying for Nuffle!

Phillipe: Arni, stop resting your tankard on my head, you're soaking me! Sorry viewers, as I was saying, Arni's Play-Off party is in full swing after the classic we just witnessed over Cabalvision! Let's have a look at those highlights now!

Arnild: DOWN IN ONE! DOWN IN ONE! Hah-ha, You must have the throat of a Sorelac, I've never seen a man swallow a whole snotling before!

Phillipe: As had been predicted by the weather guild, it was perfect Blood Bowl for the game between Music Or The Lizery and London Warps. The game opened with Music receiving the ball, and shortly after a Saurus set the tone for the game by picking up a rat and tossing it out of the arena by its tail!

With the ball in hand Music's Skinks gathered and caged the runner, ready to weather the impending Gutter Runner onslaught. Targeting the corners of the cage the Runners tried to stop the lizard advance, but found themselves out bashed and at halfway through the first half Music's Skinds had made their way to the skaven end zone, deciding to score rather than run the clock down.

As is not unusual for most Skaven matches the crowd had predictably become amped up, unruly, and overcrowded, and just as the ball was kicked to Warps a fetid, furry swarm spilled over onto the pitch, leaving five lizards face down on and wondering what had happened! During the carnage though the ball was still in play, and 'The Rat With No Name' managed to slink through the furry horde and score a very cheeky equaliser! The rest of the half resulted in an almost mirror scenario, with Music displaying the muscle to grind their way up the pitch and make it 2-1, before Warps' nameless Rat exploited a couple of holes in the lizard lines to equalise before half time.

The sun continued to shine down on the gridiron with the start of the second half, with Music kicking of to London Warps but catching the opposition slightly of guard with a pre-whistle blitz. This wasn't enough to stop the skaven though, who sprinted quickly to their opponents endzone and gained the lead for the first time in the game, making it 2-3. The return kick from Warps was taken quickly in an attempt to foul Music's game plan, but odds beyond odds a Saraus managed to catch the ball from kick-off and march his way up the pitch! The lizard cage came under a lot of pressure as it ground it's way toward the skaven endzone, but Warps weren't able to put quite enough bodies in the way to prevent a touchdown to make the game three a piece! London Warps had a small window to score and the play looked to be on when Roger the Rat Ogre punched a hole in the Music line. Unfortunately for the skaven though the pressure got on top of their thrower, who failed to pick up the ball, and once he had eventually collected the skin fumbled the pass! This ended the second half and sent the game into over time, with Music Or The Lizery deciding to receive after winning coin toss.

As with the previous three occasions in which Music received, the small Skinks hustled into a cage and began to prepare themselves for the Gutter Runner rush. This time however one particularly manic Runner, who was later confirmed as gnashing on a Warp Stone nugget at the break, managed to jump into the middle of the cage and knock the ball carrier down! As the ball squirted from the Skinks hands the game descended into a dog pile around the pig skin, with fists and tails flailing violently in the mosh pit. We even spotted a Gutter Runner daze a Kroxigor with a particularly lucky strike! After a series of comical failed pick up attempts, Music's skinks managed to grab the ball and dash their way into the skaven endzone and make the score 4-3.

The two tired teams lined up to go at it again and fatigue had visibly begun to set into the muscles of players, as Warps' Thrower fumbled the ball in his own half, prompting Music's calculating Skinks to surge forward and cover the ball and London Warps' entire backline, prompting one final roll of the dice from the rats. After collecting the ball a Gutter Runner with dreams of glory attempted to leap over the skink line with the intention of sprinting the ball home! Unfortunately though reality crashed home hard when a Skink cynically grabbed his tail and pulled him to the ground mid-leap, leaving the Runner spitting dirt. With that the whistle for the game's end sounded, with Music Or The Lizery claiming a hard fought win and a spot in the final!

Join us later in the week for the End of Season awards, and following that the two last games, including the final!
