| The Stiffbeards march to victory against The Speedsters |
Phillipe Flabbybun: ....... Oh, no music? Arni, where are Griddy Ron and The Dirty Players? I thought they were signed up for... Well, longer than one night?!
Arnild Swoonzenorger: Their contracts were terminated. Permanently.
Phillipe: ...oh, okay, I guess the guys in legal decided to pull the plug...
Arnild: The cockroaches in Legal have instructed Arnild to not talk about the untimely disappearances of the vomit enduing noise machines.
Phillipe: Right... Hello and welcome to the eighth Smash of The Week! We had some great games this week, which although may not have featured particulary high score lines (we did have two Dwarf teams playing) did feature some excellent coaching and a couple of very special moments!
Midgard Marvels (2) Vs (1) Hug A Tree United
The ever eccentric Marvels continue their unbeaten run with a victory over The Haters, in a game which many of the human team's fans hoped to have been a bigger scoreline after the impressive amount of casualties caused within the first half. The Marvels' Ogre, appropriately named Hulk, marked his debut into the league with a spine smashing powerslam with the first tackle of the game, and followed this with a deft toss of the limp elf into HATU's team bench. Using their number advantage, and the crisp passing of star thrower Steve Rogers, the human's stormed into a two score lead. After a lapse of concentration however, which has seen them lose points already this season, The Haters reduced the deficit by one.
Orocarni Stiffbeards (2) vs (1) The Undercity Speedsters
The no-nonsense Stiffbeards continued their march to the top of the league with a comfortable victory over The Speedsters, using similar methods to those in their last two games. Receive ball, cage up, and march to victory! When questioned on their grindy tactics, headcoach Bavor Thulin gruffly replied"If it's not broken, don't fix it-" then proceeded to punch the reporter square in the nose, and followed up with "That is broken, you should fix it.". Some journalists say it's more dangerous to report on Bloodbowl than to play it, and sometimes I couldn't say that I disagree!

| The game between the Music's and the Breakers was a constant maelstrom of violence |
It's been two Goblins, one Humans, an eighth of a Dwarfs, and a blip in an Elves lifetime since 'Gunpowder Gate' occurred at The Boombowl, the old home of the Bar'Dhum Breakers, where over two hundred Dwarves were lost to an explosion caused by the Shadel Shadows. It's now fifty years later, and I'm pleased to report that the Breakers are beginning to display the showmanship their previous incarnation was renown for! In a single game of Blood Bowl, we didn't just see two Dwarves dodge nimbly away from their opponents, but Blitzer Gimlin Fjordbrow also made a successful completion! Sadly all this showmanship wasn't enough to beat The Music's, whose well drilled tactical game was too strong for the Dwarfs and ran out two to nil winners after capitalising on The Breakers mistakes.
And that's all we have time for this week! I leave with you with the divisional leagues for Week 8, which have become very interesting indeed!
