End Of Season Break Down

The league will end on the 31st July and after this point no more league will be allowed. Friendly games may stay be played after this date, however you will not be able to earn any changes to your team from these games (i.e; No SPPs, no GP gained, no Fan Factor changes, no permanent casualties, etc.).

If your team has not qualified for one of the two play-off spots available in your division it will start its ‘End of Season’ process automatically. I should have up to date copies of your roster at this point, but it may be helpful to send over the most up to date version of your roster at this point for my records.

When your team enters the End of Season process please let me know if you wish to continue with the same team for next season. I will be working out the amount of GP available for all players to avoid any potential mistakes. The full retention rules for rehiring your team can be found in Death Zone season 1. Changes to Fan Factor and Niggling Injuries which need to be rolled against can be done at the start of the next season or at club in front of myself. Any players which are rehired should have the number of seasons played marked on their roster (note; no players will wish to retire after the first season). If you wish to retire your team for one or more seasons, you will have the option to come back to them in future seasons; these teams will remain frozen after the normal End of Season process has taken place.

Teams which have qualified for the play-offs follow the above rules for friendlies, and must strive to complete their tournament games for as soon as possible. These games are strongly encouraged to take place down club, and will receive the standard +10k GP per match played at the club.

If any semi-final or final games are drawn after the full 16 turns the game will move into overtime, the rules for which are as follow;

·         A normal half of eight more turns will be played.
·         Players will flip a coin to determine kicker and receiver.
·         If a player has scored more touchdowns at the end of the eighth turn they are the winner. If the game is drawn after these turns, half time occurs and an additional eight turns are played.
·         Team Re-Rolls do not regenerate for either half, but Leader Re-Rolls do.
·         If a player has scored more touchdowns at the end of the sixteenth turn they are the winner. If the game is still tied after sixteen turns a penalty shout occurs; Players roll a dice each and the highest result wins (this may seem random but it is conducive to official tournament play).

A game will be held to decide third and fourth place if player’s schedules allow it, using the same above rules. All rewards from these games are for the team who earned it, and the cup or funds earned from the tournament cannot be transferred to another team. This also means that if the winning team is retired for one or more seasons, they will never get to use the benefits of this cup as it only lasts for a single season.

When a date to start the new season is settled upon I will make the amount that you have to spend on your team public knowledge for clarity amongst players.
